It's 2014 and the world of cars is just as you know it but with one slight difference; the policy makers don't exist. There are no CAFE standards, no Euro NCAP, and no one has ever bothered with making things like seat belts, airbags and crumple-zones mandatory. There are speed limits, drinking and driving is illegal, but the attitude of law enforcement echos the laissez faire attitude of the golden age and it's more an as-will situation. There are front, mid and rear engine cars with front, rear and all wheel drive but there are also mid-rear-front mounted engines with mid-body, single-wheel drive tracks. Innovators invent - so safety belts, air bags and crumple zones all exist, they're just not mandated by Big Brother.
Tell me about your car.

This must not be about America. I am pretty sure seat belts are required equipment on all vehicles

Some new version of that is mildly safer and slightly more economical. It would probably have a pretty modern leather and aluminum interior. Something totally different than the old 70s design. The exterior would have softer lines and the nose would be swapped for something reeking less of the 70s (maybe something like an americanized early-mid 2000s BMW?) but would still be a recognizable Pontiac. T-tops would be gone in favor of a large sun roof. The fender vents would be gone and break cooling ducts would probably be in their place. The rear window would be changed for one more resembling the early '71-'73 cars. Gold and black would be used but as a sign of the times the hood bird and tacky decals would be eliminated. Suspension wise it would be a pretty modern design, no leaf springs (unless they were like the ones in the new C7)

My car would a Mk. 1 GTI with a BMW P83 mounted in the front powering the front wheels. Oh, there's also another P83 in the rear, powering the rear wheels. It has a steering wheels and three pedals, along with a seat, and not much else.

Either of these would work

So, what you mean to say is that you want TVR to make a comeback.

In a sense, yes.

In this world, I can still buy a new 1st gen Toyota Celica GT from Toyota's Classic Division and it will be parked next to my custom LHD NISMO Racing Stagea GT-R R34 Nür spec.
Also, the cult of Miata was cut short when the Elise 111s was released to worldwide markets.

For such a short reply that was pretty concise!

I believe I saw what the intent of your question was. And I took it in the direction which my dreams allowed for. =)

Did you edit the time on this share, or did someone else?

I can do that, but for my own edification, could you clarify what is and what is not an acceptable reason to bump?
For example, I bumped the Oppo Sticker thread about a dozen or more times over the course of three days and the reaction seemed overwhelmingly positive with the thread generating good views, lots of Oppo Sticker Stuck pictures and even encouraged, based on comments, a number of people to order their own. Now, I realize this isn't generating a profit for Oppo, but this is the internet where visibility equals views. It is entirely possible no one with a Mod Hat noticed this, and so it went unnoticed.
Conversely, these three threads (those which I recently bumped) were getting some pretty good attention previous to last nights Shakira Gif and subsequent attempt to spam it out of existence and I didn't want them to be consigned to the depths of many page hell because of something so silly. I also bumped a number of other threads which got hosed by that activity .
So, in summation, I'd just ask for a bit of advice regarding when it's okay, when it ain't and if being spam burnt counts as a good reason.
Not pulling hairs here, Snap. Just asking.
